Publishing & Book Marketing Industry to Be Explored

MARQUETTE, MI (March 22, 2011) – In its constant commitment to informing regional authors and publishers of the latest changes in the publishing world and offering effective marketing and writing strategies, the Upper Peninsula Publishers & Authors Association (UPPAA) will hold its 14th Annual Conference on April 21st in Marquette at the Peter White Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Ellen Airgood, whose novel South of Superior was published by Penguin 2011 and which has been chosen as a 2012 Michigan Notable Book. Airgood, who owns the West Bay Diner in Grand Marais, Michigan, will discuss her journey from writer to published author with one of the biggest book publisher’s in the business. A question and answer session will follow.
